Firewatch Group Charity 2013
The Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS), - Support Group has been nominated by Martin Smith as the companies 2013 charity.
Charlie is the two year old grandson of Martin & Jill. Their daughter Becky, Charlies mother works part time in the administration office and father Gary a fire extinguisher technician. Charlie is one of a twin, his sister Evie is a lively walking and talking mischievous two year old, whilst Charlie is somewhat behind he has a condition called Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS).
This condition effects 1 in 125,000 and the main features are learning disabilities ranging from mild to severe, delayed development milestones, characteristic facial features, a relatively small head size and a higher incidence of some medical conditions such as epilepsy, cardiac and eye defects.
Becky has had a lot of help from the RTS Support Group and from other parents around the country and the world, Gary and Becky are keen to both raise the awareness of RTS as well raise some much needed funds for the support group.

In addition a donation will be made to Action for Children, and specifically the centre at Watcombe in Torquay whose organiser Theresa Wills has been particularly supportive to Becky.
