Firewatch South West Ltd [FWSW] hosted a seminar at their Newton Abbot offices for the Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service [DSFRS] this was joint initiative between the public and private sector to discuss fire safety in the South West and current legislation.
The DSFRS fire prevention officers from Exeter, Torquay and Newton Abbot were given the private sectors interpretation of current legislation in particular the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 , including an update on British Standards.
The day was organised by Firewatch Group Sales Manager Royston Blunt , assisted by Fire Alarms Manager Jon Limer and Account Manager Simon Molloy.

Royston Blunt stated after the session “ To meet up with the DSFRS officers , was very helpful for our company in as much we can offer our clients the best advice as to what is required for them to comply with the RRFSO, with the intention of saving them money and time”.
Station Manager John Mohnaghan added “It was a very useful exercise for the DSFRS , enabling our officers to understand the perspective of private contractors of fire safety products and services like Firewatch and to identify ways of how we can all work together to help business comply and be safe”
