Following the recent update from the Government regarding the COVID-19 Coronavirus, and specifically the information given regarding those considered to be key workers. According to the latest information, provided by the Construction Industry Council, the following activities are classed as key activities in relation to the fire sector:
• Fire safety inspections
• Requirement for maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment to meet Fire Safety legislation – even if buildings are not occupied.
As a critical service provider Firewatch South West will continue to provide essential planned maintenance and call out services for our fire protection services. Working closely with our customers we will assess the services required in conjunction with the safety of both our customers and our staff to ensure that fire safety equipment is maintained to a satisfactory level.
