'Martin
We have completed the second of two days Fire Awareness training given by Simon Molloy at our Preston Manor site.

I have received nothing but good constructive feedback from those that attended. The main comments I received were:- Good delivery of information and easy to understand, liked the practical training - all felt that actually putting out a fire was much better than letting an extinguisher off into fresh air.

All came away with a better understanding of using the fire equipment and preventing fires both at work and at home.
Having attended the last session today I can only agree with the above. Please pass on my thanks to Simon

'Dear Roy
Many thanks for your visit yesterday and for running through your excellent Fire Risk Assessment file with Fran, Yan and myself. This was very much appreciated and your reassuring comments that the schools buildings and processes are in pretty good shape. There are clearly things we have to address, accepting that we have already done some as you very kindly alerted us to certain items while you were here, and we will indeed crack on with these.

As agreed, you will make some small reference type amendments to the file to enable each section to be fairly free standing and forward this through to Fran in due course.

I must also thank you for the way in which you conducted your review visit which was clearly very thorough , extremely helpful to the several members of our staff community who raised specific issues with you at this time and you managed all this without being in any way intrusive. I thank you for this.

With kind regards, David'

'Dear Steve
I would like to thank you and your staff for the excellent service we received installing the new alarm system. The professionalism and speed shown by the engineers was much appreciated by all. I imagine doing 4 weeks work in a little over 2 is something of a record.

Thanks again, best wishes

Dear Roy
Just a quick note in praise of Simon who delivered the Fire Training to our staff on 18 April. We all thoroughly enjoyed his engaging manner and well paced delivery. He spoke not just from experience but with great natural enthusiasm for his subject.

Our staff really enjoyed and gained much benefit from the session, due largely from how he held our attention, by making it relevant and interesting. I have, on occasions, heard people say how boring Fire Training can be, nobody was bored on that Wednesday!

Of course the practical demonstration with everyone having hands on experience of the equipment helps, but even prior to that when we sat classroom style in the Theatre, I noticed how everyone was listening and participating with questions etc.

I have also enclosed teh 10 evaluation forms completed by the staff, showing very good feedback from the session.

So well done again all at Firewatch, and well done Simon!

Thanks Roy, speak again soon

Mr JT
Wife attended fire training at care home in Exeter.

She was initially very worried about attending the course but her husband rang to say, she came home full of information (and confidence) which she duly passed to him (fire fighter at local Airport) re: not to leave adaptors plugged in, phones etc in fact she told him off for doing so.

Found the course very informativeand interesting, usually they have in-house training which she has found to be boring and information given not always correct.

Mr JT wanted to pass his thanks on to Simon & Gary who ran the course.
