FIRE SIGNAGE INSTALLATION
Since 1st October 2006, the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (“RRFSO”) (for England & Wales) has been in effect imposing drastic changes to the regulatory regime for fire safety.
The legislation above require the responsible person (or a third party(ies)) to ensure that signage must be used to indicate any "non-automatic fire-fighting equipment" and emergency routes and exits.
The above legislation reinforces (in very broad terms) the much more detailed legislative requirements that have existed for several years in the form of the Health and Safety (Safety Signs and Signals) Regulations 1996 which still also apply in Great Britain. In addition to stating the requirement for such signage, these regulations also lay down the specific requirements including, colour, need for current-EU style icons (e.g. running-man icon, fire-extinguisher-and-flames icon, etc), location, maintenance, etc.
Safety Signage Surveys
We are able to conduct surveys throughout the South West Region to help ensure that our customers' sites have appropriate safety signage that meets the requirements of all of the above legislation.
Photoluminescent Safety Signage
Just as with extinguishers, for example, the quality of safety signage varies immensely from source to source. Again, we are committed to supplying some of the very best products available anywhere. A wide range of photoluminescent signage is always in stock.
