Firewatch South West Ltd every year, nominates four charities to support. Martin Smith CEO, sets a target of money to raise and through various events through the year reaches his target. 
 
Our nominated charities for 2009 are:  
 
 
DREAM-A-WAY's aim is to send local people with physical and learning difficulties on holidays and day trips - whether it is fulfilling a lifetime dream, experiencing great opportunities or just having 'time out' from daily routines. People of all ages and from around the South West are helped in every way possible to have a Dream-A-Way holiday. 
 
 
At Children’s Hospice South West we care for children who have illnesses which mean they will die before reaching adulthood. We provide expert care for them, their parents and well siblings. 
 
 
To support and raise funds for organisations located in South Devon and Torbay which provide services and support to people with sight loss. 
 
To support full and equal integration in society of blind and partially sighted people and to promote visual awareness in the community
 
 
CHICKS aims to provide as many disadvantaged children as possible with the life enhancing experience of a free respite break away in the countryside at one of our centres in Devon or Cornwall. 
 
CHICKS helps children from a variety of different backgrounds, just a few examples are children growing up in poverty, children of prisoners, and children who have been abused, either physically, emotionally or sexually. CHICKS also provides breaks for young carers

Golf Day at Dainton Park Golf Club in Newton Abbot. Once again a very successful and well supported day, with an array of prizes, auctions and competitions.

December 2008 
 
The £10,000 target for 2008 was reached following the mock 'Cruise' night held at Buckland Athletic Football Club. The Cruise night organised to celebrate Firewatch's 10 years of trading involved everything from a mock duck shhot to playing poker in Las Vegas.
