Humberside Fire and Rescue Service are going to trial the installation of sprinklers in homes of the elderly and vulnerable, those who cannot escape in the event of a fire. 

This will be trialled in ten homes in a partnership with the local NHS trusts and councils. 

 

Fire sprinklers are the most effective method of protecting lives and property. Fire sprinkler systems are considered so effective that in certain situations they are being made mandatory.
