A busy fundraising year ahead at Firewatch
Looking ahead to July and we begin our fundraising events (unless something crops up before!!).
CHARLIES TROPHY - 4TH JULY 2014
We begin with our annual golf day Charlies Trophy, last year raising over £10,000 towards the RTS Support Group and Action for Children. Both charities close to our hearts here at Firewatch, for full details on Charlies Trophy PLUS a chance to enter this years day please CLICK HERE. It is always a great day, Martin has this year decided upon 'American Independance' as the theme, as it falls on July 4th.
Our golf day is a Pairs event playing off full handicaps; bring a customer, friend, colleague or your partner. You are also very welcome to come by yourself and we will partner you up. It is a very relaxed, fun day and this year will have a fun take on all things American - including hitting a baseball on the driving range, playing Texas Hold'em on the 8th and a special prize for the most 'American' themed competitor.
Our main sponsor System6 Kitchens will donate a kitchen to the value of £10,000 to any competitor who gets a hole in one on the 8th hole. You can also request the assistance of our sponsored players Billy Hemstock and Rich Woods to take a shot for you. Throughout the day, David Edwards will be providing us with infamous commentary as well as an end of day demonstration of his trick shot golf - NOT TO BE MISSED!!
ROTARY PEDAL CAR GRAND PRIX - 20TH JULY 2014
This year Firewatch will entering a team into the 36th pedal car grand prix, those that are local will know that the pedal car grand prix (after a short break) is a traditional Torquay event taking place during the school Summer holidays, on Torquay seafront. We are this year nominating Childrens Hospice SW as our own charity, with any sponsorship raised going towards them.
This year they have BRAND NEW pedal cars, so we will be making the most of our in house sign company A-Signs and having our car signwritten to the hilt, along with a multitude of banners adorning our pit stop. It is a 2 hour endurance race, so will really test our drivers to the max. The race circuit is the same as previous years. 350 metres of hard and soft surfaces, steep inclines, hard bends and downhill chicanes. Organised by the Rotary Club of Babbacome & St Marychurch they raised £10,000 last year from entries for local charities.
